New York City is not only the most diverse city in the world; it also has the largest, loudest and most powerful LGBTQIA+ community. Queer culture is a part of New York's identity that came to public prominence at the Stonewall Uprising in 1969.
In 2019, New York City hosted WorldPride and the 50th anniversary of the uprising with 5 million attendees, the most ever. This civil rights movement is celebrated on the last Sunday of June and starts with activities all over the city including the world-famous Pride March.
LGBTQIA+ culture is celebrated all year-round in the Big Apple. From Broadway Theater to the cutting-edge drag scene, from storied nightlife to epic art installations. You’ll never be far from the action at BKLYN House. Just 2 blocks away from the M train or a 20-minute Uber ride to Manhattan. We look forward to welcoming all travelers from the LGBTQIA+ community at BKLYN House.
